Mission of the Role

The Senior Designer (“SD”) at Authentic is a team member responsible for leading all aspects of important design projects: the strategy, execution, and finesse across brand and print mediums. The SD reports directly to the Creative Director and, at times, to company leadership.

They can lead projects from start to finish, eloquently communicate with and present to clients, and are empowered to make decisions (and take responsibility) on behalf of the design team.

The SD is a solutions-oriented thinker, always self-starting and confident in producing design outcomes that consistently push the team forward. The SD is also very capable and comfortable working with outside vendors to coordinate physical pieces on behalf of all project stakeholders.

They will, at times, provide feedback and guidance to other design team members when requested. They desire to continuously share inspiration and encourage the design team to be on the bleeding edge as much as possible.

  • Act as lead designer for projects that demand elevated design skills.

  • Communicate with and present to clients, work with vendors to find solutions, and help manage greater project satisfaction.

  • Explore and generate design ideas, and take ownership of the design process to push each project forward.


  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to our high standards of quality. Communicate scheduling concerns or change needs as they arise.

  • For all projects assigned, along with the CD, lead vendor coordination to ensure design projects are executed in the physical space as expected.

  • Translate client feedback and recommend next steps after client reviews.


  • Help maintain a sense of accountability across the design team and ensure others clearly understand what they need to complete.


  • Make recommendations to the CD and company ownership for how internal and external processes could be improved.


This is currently a contract position that could lead to ongoing partnership, but at this time a full-time opportunity is not yet available. We are looking for those based in the United States only, please.
