Our UI developers are responsible for building the front-end of our websites, digital products, and platforms. Developers are fluent in modern front-end technology stacks and aim to deliver modern, semantic, and SEO-friendly code.
UI Developers collaborate closely with our design team, and are responsible for collaborating on the design of a project's interaction-layer, and writing the code to bring it to life. UI Developers spend the majority of their time writing front-end code, but should also be able to build and configure websites inside Craft CMS.
Love building elegant website experiences, translating static web design comps into fully functional websites and interfaces.
Have deep knowledge of front-end development, including semantic HTML/CSS, SASS, object-oriented javascript, webpack, git, and interaction design principles.
Enjoy staying current on the quickly changing landscape of front-end technology stacks, while staying pragmatic about what to invest their time and energy into.
Take pride in building visually-accurate design, and are able to collaborate with designers to add polish and interaction across all device sizes.
Can work with Craft and other PHP-based platforms.
Has the ability to communicate development decisions and repercussions to internal team members and clients alike.
In the thick of one large project or balancing 3 to 4 smaller development projects. There is no typical week when it comes to projects, but the ability to context switch is essential.
Available for bug fixes or incremental improvements to live websites that we manage on behalf of our clients.
Collaborating with the design team during early design phases to help shape the scope and success of a project.
Building out a design using Twig, working with the Craft API, and bringing a website to live using a variety of front-end technologies. Our UI Developers are comfortable working with a variety of tech stacks and platforms.
Attending team meetings that are designed for sharing knowledge, surfacing concerns, and generally bringing together a group that is usually working separately across many projects.
Has the ability to work and thrive in a remote working environment.
Creates remote-based daily work routines, to keep themself productive and refreshed.
Can effectively communicate remotely, with emphasis on clear and concise writing, team task management, diligence on scheduled events, and being documentation-oriented.

This is a contract-to-hire position in the United States only. During the contract phase, you’ll become familiar with our processes and team, jumping right into active projects. If it makes sense for you (and for us) you’ll transition seamlessly to full time after three months on board.
